de Been 100% Jiu Jitsu Warrnambool is an official Academy under de Been 100% Jiu Jitsu Australia. In 1991, our Head Instructor Peter de Been began training directly under Carlos Gracie Jr. Peter was the first non Brazilian to gain a Black Belt out of Brazil and is currently a 6th degree Black Belt under Carlos Gracie Jr. In 1996, our Warrnambool Head Instructor Dave Summers began training directly

under Peter de Been at Australia's first Jiu Jitsu Academy - de Been Torquay. Dave is a Black Belt directly under Peter de Been. Our lineage is second to none: Carlos Gracie Snr. > Carlos Gracie Jr. > Peter de Been > Dave Summers > You. The de Been name is at the forefront of Australian Jiu Jitsu, establishing Australia's first Jiu Jitsu academy in 1993. With a rich history, de Been 100% Jiu Jitsu continues to create new inroads into this growing sport - forging new techniques, innovative concepts, and great individuals in the process.
