What an incredible set up for our Breakfast with the Blokes this year!!! 🥓🍳

Our Mums went above and beyond and transformed the grade 5/6 room into such a beautiful space to enjoy breakfast! Thank you for all your time and effort ladies!

Our blokes were spoilt and it was so lovely to see our school community enjoying the morning! It was great to meet so many new families who have recently joined our school!

Well done and we hope everyone has a special day tomorrow!!!!!

🌟 Student Congress – Big Ideas, Big Voices! 🌟
Back in March, our Student Congress group had the incredible opportunity to head to Deakin University, where they were inspired by a range of speakers and challenged to think about how they could make a difference in their own school community.
When they returned to school, our students put their ideas into action and identified a need within our school. From there, the Woodford Primary Wellbeing Trail was born! 💙
Our Student Congress students have been working hard to design and develop the trail, and we absolutely cannot wait to see their vision come to life and our students using it! 🌿✨
Tonight, 28 different schools came together to showcase the amazing projects their students have been working on. It was such a proud moment to see our very own students and their project up on the big screen! 📺👏
We are incredibly proud of our Student Congress students for their creativity, leadership and willingness to make a positive difference at Woodford Primary School.

🚲 What an incredible effort from our Grade 5/6 students! 🚲

Today, our Grade 5 and 6 students completed the Koroit to Port Fairy Rail Trail bike ride. Throughout the ride, students put into practice the skills they have been developing through our Big Life sessions, including resilience, persistence, responsibility and teamwork.

It was a wild and windy day, which gave us plenty of opportunities to practise using positive self-talk, persevering when things got tough and encouraging one another. We were incredibly proud to see students supporting each other and pushing through the challenging conditions.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parent helpers for supporting our students and helping to ensure the day ran smoothly. Your support is greatly appreciated! 💙🚲

A massive congratulations and thank you for the teachers who organised the whole day and the staff who helped out!!!! What a lucky bunch of kids!!!!

On Monday 24th we had 21 students head to Knox Gymnastics Centre to compete in the Gymstar Schools competition run by Gymnastics Victoria.

We had 2 Neutron teams, for beginners new to gymnastics and 2 Nova teams, for Gymnasts with experience. The girls performed exceptionally well and should be commended for their teamwork, confidence and outstanding skills on display.

Woodford Primary School achieved the following results:
Grade 4/5/6 Novas - Mia, Audrey B, Harlow, Bella, Georgie: First Place
Grade 2/3/4 Novas - Nell, Ella, Alice C, Nieve - Third Place
Grade 5/6 Neutrons - Ruby, Evie, Layla M, Layla B, Pippa, Shenarya - 2nd Place
Grade 2/3/4 Neutrons - Laura, Lucille, Zuri, Calli, Taneille, Ayla F, Lilly A - 2nd Place

A huge thank you to our amazing coach, Katrina. We would not be able to have been able to have these results without your knowledge and understanding of competition gymnastics. A shout out to all the families who travelled to support their child entering this competition. It is an amazing experience that not all schools can attend and we are so thankful for your support.

Foundation, Grade 1 & 2 Excursion to Geelong ⭐️

Last week, 60 students and our staff boarded the 6:30am train to spend the day in Geelong!

We visited the Museum of Play and Art and had such a hands on experience with all of their fun activities! We would highly recommend everyone to visit MOPA!

We also visited BOUNCEinc and loved the new layout at the Geelong Bounce! It was a fun place to jump around and explore all the fun zones with our friends!!! Make sure you head along to check out Bounce in the school holidays!

🌟 A big thank you to Strive Gymnastics! 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

Our junior students had such a wonderful time on their excursion today! A huge thank you to Alex and Lucy for working with all of our Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students and making the experience so much fun. 💙

Our senior students will get to visit tomorrow and burn some energy off on the beams, rings and trampolines! We can’t wait to see some of their tricks!
