TOUCH FOOTBALL GALA DAY
On Tuesday, Stage 3 girls proudly represented our school at the Touch Football Gala Day at Maitland Park. The girls had an outstanding day, winning three games and drawing one! They showed fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day, with their biggest win being an impressive 9–0 victory! Well done, girls!
A huge thank you to all the families who came along and supported the girls throughout the day.

PEEK AT OUR WEEK- CLASS WILAYI ⭐️
This term, Class Wilayi has been learning about natural disasters. This week, we explored the way smoke and flames layer and move in the air through different water colour techniques. Our paintings show a bushfire burning its way up a mountain. We used twigs to stamp burnt tree trunks.

In Week 7, we are lucky to have started our Sports In Schools Tennis Program. Thursday's lesson was learning how to bounce a ball with a racquet. We enjoyed this very much, although the wind wanted to jump straight to a real tennis match!

PEEK AT OUR WEEK- CLASS WARINY ⭐️
Last week in Class Wariny, we had a very busy week with our Book Week Parade on Tuesday and a visit from Tarro Fire Brigade on Thursday who gave a talk on fire safety and let students have a go on the hoses. The students had a great time!

In class, we have been learning about Australia and its special features in Geography. We created maps of Australia showing our states and territories.
In Science, we have been learning about how the Sun, Earth and Moon interact to give us night and day and the seasons. We completed diagrams to explain how this occurs.

To help raise money for NAIDOC Cup, Woodberry PS Inclusive Communities Committee are holding a pop up Cake Stall at the
2026 NAIDOC Cup Festival, on Friday 18 September.

We are asking our amazing parents/carers & community to pop on your aprons & bake some delicious goodies to donate to our Cake Stall!
