About the role:
We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator with a Diploma qualification (or working towards) who has experience working in an early childhood setting to join our small, vibrant and welcoming team at Wongan Cubbyhouse. We are located in Wongan Hills which is a rural town in Western Australia approximately 1.5hrs North-East of Perth.
This is a part-time role with an average of 4 days a week offered on average, Full-time may be available for the right applicant.
This is a unique service that cares for children from the age of 3mths to approx 11yrs of age, all within a one-room service. We are open Monday to Friday with maximum shifts being from 8am to 5:15pm.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering high-quality early childhood education and care programs that support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
- Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences and activities
- Observing and documenting children's progress to inform programming and individualised learning
- Providing a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment that fosters children's wellbeing and sense of belonging
- Building strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
- Collaborating with the team to maintain a clean, organised and well-resourced learning space
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for:
*A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification or working towards this qualification
*Demonstrated experience working as an Early Childhood Educator, preferably in a long day care or outside school hours care setting
*Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
*Strong language, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families
*A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of young children
*A current Working with Children Check and First Aid certificate
