Zanshin Shotokan Karate Sydney

Meet Sensei Ron Richmond, the "hard-boned Fijian karateka"! Ron's karate career spans decades and includes training under Sensei Frank Nowak at the Shotokan Karate Association of Australia (SKAA), and gradings done under Sensei Frank and Sensei Kanazawa. Ron was formerly President of the NSW branch of the SKAA, Deputy President of the NSW Karate Federation, and Secretary of the Australian Karate Federation. He was also a senior referee and appointed Manager of the Table Officials for the 1986 World Karate Federation championships in Sydney. Ron retired as Chief Instructor of Zanshin Shotokan Karate-Do 5 years ago, but now (in his 80s) still trains twice a week and packs a solid punch! He is regarded as a tough instructor, guaranteed to teach a sweaty session. Sensei Ron trains at Zanshin Shotokan Karate Sydney and teaches here with Sensei Nabil Lakiss every Thursday.
