Elemental Grooves Drumming and Dance For over 20 years I have been drumming and dancing with people of all ages and walks of life.

Bringing the fun and natural joy of sharing rhythms and moves founded in the traditions of Guinea, West Africa.​ After stumbling across drumming at the Woodford Folk Festival in 1996, Damo was captivated by the energy of the drum circle and has since become one of the most experienced traditional drummers and dancers on the South Coast and wider NSW. Damion brings a memorable life and energy to hi

s sessions that leave a lasting impact, with his circles developing creative energy, relieving stress and anxiety, and passing on traditions from West Africa & Guinea. Damion is also a highly experienced, active session player and gigging performer, performing in The Groove and Beatmeisters to name a few, along with his own solo gigs. Outside of music, Damion works as a Sustainability Officer for Wollondilly Shire Council and spends his downtime reconnecting with earth and promoting sustainable, healthy living.

The Beat Cartel is taking over Society City on Saturday April 25th, and it’s going to be an all in, full body, full volume experience.

A journey in rhythm from the West African grooves of The Cockatoos through to the high-energy, funked up afro beat fusion of The Beatmeisters.
