2/3 Gulung have been learning about ancient civilisations, exploring the fascinating worlds of Ancient Egypt, China and Greece.
In mathematics, they have been ‘bridging to 10’ to solve larger number problems more efficiently. They have also been learning about positions and locations through a class favourite – Battleships!
They also had two superstars get through to the Public Speaking Finals, with one receiving a trophy and another with a medal!

We love to find connections between mathematical concepts in K/1 Djiti Djiti!
We have been learning to recall and apply doubles facts to help us add. We then learned that we can reverse doubles facts to help us efficiently halve collections.
We learned to divide by sharing a collection into equal parts. We then realised we can arrange collections as arrays to support our understanding of multiplication.
Finally, we used our ability to draw quadrilaterals and write numerals to create our own hopscotch games.
K/1 Djiti Djiti challenges you to think of an area or concept that does not involve maths. We bet we can find the mathematical connections!
