Rules of Engagement
In joining our community on Facebook, Windang Public School follows both the Department of Education Code of Conduct and Facebook terms and conditions. Students
Please note that the Facebook terms and conditions state that no one under the age of 13 years should have a Facebook profile. Therefore, any primary students who 'Like' or comment on the Windang Public School page will have their post deleted and profile reported immediately. Posting, Tagging or Naming Student Photos
Photos of students are posted with reference to Department of Education publishing permission forms, completed through the school. For children's privacy and protection, please do not tag photos of children, and please do not name them your comments. On rare occasions and with parental permission, students may be named by the school FB admin team. Tagging of parents or friends within the comment box is permitted, with the understanding that all other rules of engagement are followed. Comments Policy
Windang Public School encourages interaction from Facebook users but is not responsible for comments or wall postings made by visitors to the page. Comments posted also do not in any way reflect the opinions or policies of Windang Public School. Windang Public asks that people making comments on the page show respect for their fellow users by ensuring the discussion remains civil, especially since Facebook allows individuals 13 and over to join. All comments should be constructive and reflective of a primary school context. Comments are also subject to Facebook's Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. Remember that your name and photo will be seen next to your comment, visible to the tens of thousands of visitors to the page. We reserve the right, but assume no obligation, to remove comments that are racist, sexist, abusive, profane, violent, obscene, spam, that advocate illegal activity, contain falsehoods or are wildly off-topic, or that libel, incite, threaten or make attacks on Windang Public School students, employees, guests or other individuals. We also do not permit unsolicited messages selling products or promoting commercial, political or other ventures. Facebook encourages all users to utilize the "Report" links when they find abusive content. Friending Staff on Facebook
Please note that the Department of Education has this advice for teachers 'Friending' parents on Facebook:

The line between your professional and personal life could become blurred making it difficult to manage your professional relationship with the parents when that becomes necessary. You also need to bear in mind that becoming a Facebook friend with a parent could result in their children getting access to your account as well. You also need to be mindful that you need to be careful what you say on Facebook if you have parents as friends as comments made online can be misunderstood and could result in parental complaints made to your principal. In short, please do not ask to friend a member of staff on Facebook as refusal often offends. Administrators

Please remember that our FB administrators volunteer their personal time to keep our community updated on events, successes and school and community news. The Admin team are not responsible for decisions made at a School or P&C Association level. If you have an inquiry or concern about a P&C or school issue, email [email protected] and your message will be forwarded to the relevant contact.

Thanks to all who have dropped their pre-loved uniforms into the hamper! We have enough to run a 2nd stall, which we will run the morning of the Book Week Parade.

Come along and grab a bargain!

If you have items you'd like to donate, pop them in the hamper in the office 🥰

Stage 2 Excursion 🩷

Stage 2 students enjoyed a wonderful day at the Nan Tien Temple. From trying their hand at Tai Chi and calligraphy to learning about Buddhist culture, there was plenty to see, do and discover. Of course, the spring rolls and rice were a highlight 🥢

A lovely day filled with learning and new experiences. 🙏

Community Spirit 🩷

Cheering on Crammy as he took on the Windang Bridge for his Middle Life Crisis Run 🏃‍♂️

The students were out in force to show their support, bringing plenty of noise and school spirit as our local radio legend ran his way across the bridge.

Well done Crammy! 👏 Wave 96.5

SASS Recognition Week 2026! This week we’ve been celebrating our incredible SASS and auxiliary staff, the backbone of our school who help us thrive every single day!

Our amazing office staff are always ready with an ice pack, Band Aid, a kind word or our special Tooth Fairy treasure chest.

Our School Learning Support Officers support teaching and learning, care for our students and create wonderful opportunities for play and connection.

Our grounds staff care for our school and buildings, our crossing supervisor keeps our children safe, our Technology Support Officer keeps us connected, and our amazing Kerrie runs our canteen with such care and makes every interaction a learning opportunity.

Thank you to every single one of you for everything you do.Most importantly, thank you for helping our students feel safe, valued, cared for and that they belong.

We appreciate you! ❤️

The DOLPHINs have been learning about SHEEP this week in class. They cannot wait until the end of the week because they will know so much more about sheep AND they get to ‘shear’ the woolly sheep they made in the art room🌟🐑🐑🌟
