Interesting broad but insightful article ... but I would say personally that most of my friends/colleagues/peers who create work based on the anthropocene have already taken the anthropos (that's us) out of the picture, trying to return agency to the non-human but natural. Grace Hellyer, Ranciere gets a shout out even!
And is it already over? 'Perhaps the Anthropocene has already become an anthropomeme: punned and pimped into stuplimity, its presence in popular discourse often just a virtue signal that merely mandates the user to proceed with the work of consumption.'
