The ‘Young Playwrights Project’ is a collaborative initiative between Merrigong Theatre Company and The Drama Studio. Established in 2012 the Young Playwrights Project provides young actors and playwrights with the opportunity to develop their theatre-making skills under the guidance of industry professionals. This year six young playwrights were selected: ‘AI Takeover’ by Leni Taylor, ‘Number One Century’ by Lina Shahat, ‘The Shadow of Greatness’ by Patrick Cai, ‘I Know You’ by Noor Al-Salih, ‘The Bewitched Kingdom’ by Riley Quinn and ‘Dennis is Dead’ by Eli Zorn.
