This week, school leaders from across the diocese gathered at Magdalene Catholic College, Narellan, for our annual system-wide professional learning day. We were incredibly privileged to hear a powerful keynote address from renowned author, journalist, and moral philosopher, Professor Stan Grant.
Drawing on his experiences as a Wiradjuri, Kamilaroi, and Dharawal man with a deep Catholic faith, Stan challenged us to be “the rock in the rapids of the modern world.”

Today is National Sorry Day - an important occasion to pause and remember the Stolen Generations of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
As we commence National Reconciliation Week, this year’s theme of ‘All In’ reminds us that reconciliation is not a task for the few, nor is it a burden for the First Nations peoples of this diocese to carry alone. May we walk together with courage and humility, ensuring that reconciliation always lives in our hearts, our minds, and our collective actions.

Today, we pause in prayer to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served for our country.
We remember their selflessness and ask for God's peace to be with all who continue to serve. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
