Families Week; Helping our Mums and Mother figures feel special 🩷💕💖

The Lakeview childrens council chose to support Baby Hub Galiwin’ku.
We spoke about how we can help those that might need it and how people live in different ways, having high expectations of children- supporting them in thinking about dignity and rights of others and ethical and sustainable practices. The children utilised the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child to depict children’s rights through collaboratively drawing where they showcase their ideas on children’s needs, privacy and safety of all children.

We organised to go on an excursion to our local Post Office to send our donated items to the Island off the Northern Territory. At the Post Office the children weighed their parcel. The children paid for the postage delivery and received a tracking number so they could watch the parcel be delivered.
