Nearly finished this! My first read into anything from the Bowen’s Family Systems body of work. Very digestible and applicable and has been a great book to read a chapter a day of. I can’t promote the importance of healthy communication enough, and it’s hard to point to a container for growth that can match our personal relationships in terms of an opportunity to grow and mature.

Great read for no matter where you are in your journey.

LOVE STARTING THE WEEK WITH SOME CLIENT GROWTH. Anyone who has EVER marketed a product they’ve created or a skill they’ve learned has probably gone through the challenges of knowing and claiming your price. Deeper than being new to the world of business, this is a confidence thing.

Do not undervalue your work or product any longer than your first few jobs at the MOST!

Negative impacts of this are:
- resenting the work you’re doing
- resenting the client
- not giving your full effort to the work
- undercutting and devaluing your entire industry
- not having enough income to sustain yourself
- attracting “tire-kicker” clients

Positive impacts of addressing this are:
- enjoying the work that you do with fair trade agreements
- developing conviction and certainty around your product/service
- creating trust in your client pool for the quality of your product/service
- attracting awesome clients who LOVE doing business with you

This is a speed bump that affects nearly every person I’ve spoken to who started a business. So if you’re feeling this way on your journey, know that it’s all part of the process and I am here for support.

A new post for a new chapter. What I am setting out to do is equip people with the tools and support that they need to chase their dreams. I knew that working in a job I wasn’t passionate about for money was not how I wanted to spend my life and so I am changing that. Business has already taken me on an incredible journey, so many obstacles to overcome and so much of myself to come up against.

It’s one thing to say anyone can be or do anything they want…it’s another thing to live that for yourself. So I will succeed at living in alignment with my values and living my dream, there’s no other option. A big enough WHY will overcome and HOW.
Success is inevitable 👏🏻

Care about what others need when they communicate it to you, and in your relationships you should trust that your needs are cared about too.
