It’s Cheer 4 A Cause week! 🎀✨

In the lead-up to Cheer 4 A Cause this Saturday, 29th August, we’re encouraging everyone to DRESS IN YELLOW to help show their support! 🌼

We’ll also be collecting donations throughout the week, with all funds raised going towards the Cancer Council and helping support an incredible cause. Every little bit makes a difference! 🫶

AASCF BATTLE 2026 💗🔥
What. A. Weekend. 

We are so incredibly proud of every single NRG athlete who stepped onto the floor at AASCF Battle this weekend. 

From the tiniest moments backstage to the big performances under the lights, our athletes represented NRG with so much heart, determination and team spirit. 

Competition weekends are about so much more than trophies. They're about trusting your training, supporting your teammates, pushing through the nerves, celebrating every hit and learning from every performance. Watching our teams cheer each other on, laugh together and create memories is something we will never take for granted. 

A huge thank you to all of our coaches, parents and families for the endless support that goes into making these weekends possible. We appreciate every early morning, every costume, every car ride and every loud cheer from the crowd. 💗

Now it's time to take everything we learnt and keep building towards the next one. We can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for our NRG family! 🔥

At NRG, we believe there is a time to have fun and a time to lock in… and we LOVE creating space for both. 💗🔥

We want our athletes laughing with their teammates, being themselves, building friendships and creating memories. Those moments might look like “just having fun”, but they are also helping to build confidence, connection and a positive relationship with their sport.

But when it’s time to work, we work. 💪

Our athletes learn when to switch their focus, listen to corrections, practise their routines, work on their technique and keep trying when they don’t get something straight away.

We think learning how to balance the two is such an important skill.

We want our athletes to understand that you can work hard AND have fun. Because at the end of the day, we don’t just want our athletes to improve their skills or perform an amazing routine…

We want them to love coming to training. 💗

The laughs. The friendships. The hard work. The corrections. The progress. The memories.

There’s room for all of it at NRG. ✨

We notice the changes every lesson
At NRG, we notice so much more than the skills our athletes are learning.

We notice when they’re more confident than they were last week.
We notice when they finally nail a skill they’ve been working hard on.
We notice when they encourage a teammate or step outside their comfort zone. 💗

But we also notice the harder days.

We notice when they walk into training a little quieter than usual.
We notice when they’ve had a hard day at school or work
We notice when something is bothering them.
We notice when they’re frustrated, disappointed or doubting themselves.

And we’re there for those moments too. 🫶🏼

Sometimes they need encouragement. Sometimes they need advice. Sometimes they just need someone to listen, help them reset and remind them of what they’re capable of.

Our Allstar Program isn’t just about creating great athletes. It’s about creating a space where our kids feel seen, supported and cared for through the good days and the hard ones.

Because coaching is about so much more than what happens on the competition floor 💕

Our Rec Cheer program is all about learning the foundations of cheerleading in a fun, positive and supportive environment. Athletes will work on cheer skills, jumps, stunts, routines and teamwork, while building their confidence each week! ⭐️

Whether your child is completely new to cheer or looking to continue building their skills, this class is a great way to get involved, make new friends and experience what being part of the NRG Family is all about! 🩷

FAQ: Is it normal for my child to cry?
Absolutely!

Starting something new can be a big adjustment, and every child settles into classes at their own pace.

Did you know that some children settle in within a few weeks, while others can take up to six months or even longer? Every journey is different, and that's completely okay.

As a parent, it can be hard watching your child cry while other children seem happy and settled. It's completely understandable to feel worried or even a little embarrassed—but please don't. Every confident child you see today was once a beginner too.

At NRG, we meet every child where they're at. We work at their pace, helping them build trust, confidence, and independence in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Your child doesn't need to be confident before they start—confidence grows because they started. 💖

Does your child seem a little shy? 💕

One of the biggest things we hear from parents is, "I think they're too shy to start classes

The truth is, your child doesn't need to be confident before they join. For so many children, dance is where confidence begins.

At NRG, we understand that every child settles into classes at their own pace. Some walk straight in, while others need a little extra time and support—and that's completely okay.

Our coaches work closely with both our students and their families to build trust, encourage independence, and create a safe environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Our goal goes far beyond teaching dance. We want every child to leave our studio feeling happier, more confident, more resilient, and proud of themselves.

A huge congratulations to all of our Prelude and Major 1 students on completing their ballet exams during the holidays! 🩰✨

We are so proud of the way they presented themselves and all the hard work they put into their exams.

One of the reasons we love the Australian Dance Vision syllabus is its well-rounded approach to ballet. It celebrates dancers of all body types while teaching so much more than just technique. Our students also learn about the history of ballet, the importance of nutrition, how their bodies work and ways to dance safely through injury prevention.

It's a syllabus that perfectly reflects the values we strive to teach every day at NRG, helping our dancers grow not only as performers but as confident, young people. 💖
