We took him on a tour of some of our facilities, including:

π One of the most powerful electron microscopes in the southern hemisphere, being used in the fight against super bugs
π Early Start: where research, education, and community come together for better childhood outcomes.

UOW has maintained its position among the worldβs top 200 universities, rising three places to rank 193rd globally and rank 10th in Australia in the latest 2022 QS World University Rankings.
In less than a decade, the University has moved up 83 places in its overall rank, and has established itself as a leading research-intensive university.
UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Patricia M. Davidson welcomed the rankings and said the University is focused on attracting the best talent and highly accomplished scholars to achieve its goal of becoming a top study and research destination in the world.

The 2021 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings have been released, with UOW ranking an impressive 6th globally. ππ
This yearβs rankings assessed 1115 universities around the globe against the United Nationsβ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) covering three broad areas: research, outreach and stewardship.
UOW made the most impact in areas which include:
π 3rd globally for SDG 6: Clean water and Sanitation
π equal 7th globally for SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
π equal 8th globally for SDG 15: Life on Land
π equal 9th globally for SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
