With back to school starting tomorrow, check out these great tips!
We can’t wait to see everyone this coming week & hear all about your adventures over the holidays!
Evenings can quietly hold a lot of big feelings when school is looming the next day.
What looks like “bedtime resistance” is often a young person trying to manage worry, uncertainty, or the weight of holding it all together. And the truth is, anxiety doesn’t switch off just because it’s time for sleep.
The good news is that small, predictable evening rhythms can make a powerful difference. When a child knows what to expect, feels emotionally held, and has space to release their worries, their nervous system begins to soften.
These simple steps aren’t about perfection or strict routines. They’re about creating a sense of safety, connection, and calm that the brain can rely on night after night.
If your child finds evenings tricky during term time, this might be the gentle reset that helps them feel more settled, more secure, and a little less alone in their worries.

We have the privilege of working with beautiful children & families year in and year out, and with that we have the responsibility for ensuring and advocating for child protection & child safety. Today’s professional development day has been focused on child protection refresher training with CELA (Community Early Learning Australia) followed by commencing our National Child Safety Training (Geccko). For more information on what we do and why we advocate for this please see our Term 2 newsletter.
