Was watching the view yesterday and Whoopi Goldberg brought this to our attention on yesterday's episode. Let's stop stigma around mental illness! Check out Glenn Close's foundation BringChange2Mind to find a support group at your college campus and support on their page and website. This is such an amazing support system needed for everyone that is scared to speak out about struggling with a mental illness. This is one of our "OPEN DOORS" links for mental illnesses for young dancer to get help ➕💜

This is such a sad story! It's about time we speak up and have a conversation about the topic of sexual abuse in our dance community. This is just one of the many stories we have heard.... How many more before another innocent girl or boy is a victim of such a LIFE altering crime. To add to this particular isolated story of sexual abuse in a dance studio, we can't believe a mother took part in this. It just proves that anyone will do anything to get ahead. Let this story be the last one in the dance community worldwide. We pray for the victims and hopefully with this new network of helplines and support, any student dealing with any social, mental and trauma issues in the dance community can now have a door to open to safety ➕💜 www.thehouseofdancefoundation.org

NSW dance teacher Grant Davies has been sentenced to at least 18 years' jail over his abuse of students for more than a decade.

We love this message that ELLE Magazine (US) is sharing to the world. Dancers are always struggling with the idea of perfection in their movement and teachers are constantly focusing on perfection in dancer and saying statements like "it's not perfect enough" which creates so many mental issues that can stay with a dancer for years to come. It should come from love and the freedoms to share the movement that expresses your story the most. Don't ever let fear and perfection darken you love and light. Congratulations to Elle and this dancer for bringing awareness to this topic. You don't have to fear who you are, and how you MOVE ➕💜

I have to say I am IMPRESSED with Dance Moms this time. Even though I don't support the message of this show most of the time.... this message bringing awareness to an ever growing mental issue in our youth today. Good job Lifetime and my friend Abby Lee Miller.
