EWNC Baal Vatika is a community school that conducts Nepali language and art classes for children aged 4-year-old and above. The school is run entirely by the volunteers and the parents of our students contribute to create an optimum and viable environment to conduct regular classes. Classes are run everyday Saturday at the Galada Community Centre in Epping during the Victorian school term. At pre

sent, the school is capable of accomodating up to 50 children in two groups. Two classes are run concurrently to ensure that the curriculum delivers the learning needs of our children. Our curriculum is engaging and intended to provide in-depth knowledge and awareness of Nepali language and culture. We strongly believe our teaching methods equip our students with the right level of confidence as they strive to learn and contribute to the community as valued members of the Australian public.

Dear parents,

EWNC has decided to go ahead with Teej Sanjh tomorrow, Friday, 4 September 2026, as an event to bring our community together and raise funds.

A few important updates for Baal Vatika parents and students attending tomorrow:

1. Free entry for Baal Vatika students: Enrolled Baal Vatika students can enter free of charge. Our volunteers will have the student details at the gate, so if you haven’t received your child’s free ticket, don’t worry – just come along and they will be allowed entry.

2. Baal Vatika performance: Our cultural performance is scheduled to start at 6:10 pm. Please bring the students to the venue (Epping Memorial Hall, 827 High St, Epping) by 5:45 pm so we have enough time to prepare them.

3. We encourage students to wear traditional Nepali dress. It can be traditional attire from any Nepali culture or community.

4. No Baal Vatika classes on Saturday, 5 September: There will be no class this Saturday, as our teachers will be volunteering at Teej Sanjh and may need time to rest after the event.

We are pleased to invite you to a special parenting session organised by EWNC.

Behind the Behaviour – Understanding What Your Child Is Really Telling You

Join us for an insightful session with Shristi Sharma, Parenting Educator and Child Behaviour Specialist, as she shares practical strategies to better understand children’s behaviour, strengthen parent-child connections, and support their emotional development.

A proud day for our EWNC Baal Vatika students at today’s Hijje Competition, organised by Hamro Community.

Our students participated with confidence and enthusiasm alongside 23 teams from across Victoria, making it a valuable learning experience.

Thank you to Hamro Community for providing a wonderful platform for our second-generation children to strengthen their Nepali language and celebrate their culture.
