Another special visitor last week - Anthony Zarb, author, popped in to promote his story “Arlo’s Treasure” through music and dance!

Anthony had all of our Cool Frogs friends up and dancing, having loads of fun!

It’s happening! We’re already seeing some amazing costumes for Book Week!

August has already been such a busy month for our friends at Cool Frogs ECE Wodonga!

On the 10th, we welcomed Reptile Encounters who came to show the children some very special friends and shared lots of information about the animals that came along!

The children really enjoyed learning where the animals live, what they eat and how they protect themselves from other animals!

We met Cheryl the Leaf/Stick Insect, Shrek the Green Tree Frog, Popcorn the Shingleback Lizard, Mr Hardhead the Turtle, Bluey the Blue-Tongue Lizard, A Children’s Python, Tiny the 3metre Olive Python and even a baby crocodile!

🐢Did you know that to stay underwater for long periods of time, turtles actually breathe through their bottom?
🐍The Dreamtime Story of The Rainbow Serpent is based off the rainbow shimmer colours of the Olive Python
🐊Crocodiles don’t have tongues!

The Pre-K children have been working on recognising their names and creating their names using playdough! Not only is this great for name identification, it also helps strengthen fine motor muscles as well as provides a positive sensory experience!

The 24th of July is National Pyjama Day! This day raises awareness to support children in foster care!
Cool Frogs Wodonga invites children (and staff) to wear their PJ’s not just on Friday 24th, but all of next week!
