🌟 VM & VM VPC Work Placement Week Wrap Up 🌟

As we conclude Work Placement Week, we took the opportunity to visit some of our students and see them in action across their workplaces.

It has been fantastic to see our students stepping outside the classroom, building confidence, developing new skills and gaining valuable industry experience.

From veterinary clinics 🐾, mechanics 🔧, hairdressing salons 💇‍♀️ and even working within our own school maintenance team 🛠️ — our students have embraced the opportunity to learn, contribute and explore future pathways.

A huge thank you to all the workplaces and mentors who supported our students throughout the week. Your time, guidance and encouragement make these experiences possible.

We are thrilled to celebrate becoming an ATAPS Partner School — a fantastic achievement that recognises the commitment, collaboration and dedication of our staff in supporting the growth and development of our Teaching Assistants.

A special congratulations to Adriana, Kate and Jackson for leading this journey, investing countless hours into strengthening processes, mentoring our team, and embedding the ATAPS framework so intentionally across our College.

This achievement highlights the power of professional growth, teamwork and our ongoing commitment to providing the best support for our students and staff.

Finishing off the school day with our Year 8 English students continuing their Unit 2 short story study, exploring Tales from Outer Suburbia by Shaun Tan.

Students are diving into Tan’s unique storytelling style, analysing the way he blends the familiar with the unexpected and creates meaning through imaginative worlds and ideas. ✨

This online information session will provide important information to support students and families as they begin their VCE journey.

🏐 Year 7 Boys Netball Trials

Our Year 7 boys have been hitting the court at lunchtime to learn the game, get familiar with the rules and put their skills into practice.

It’s been great to see some strong passes, quick movement and plenty of enthusiasm as they find their feet in a new sport. Looking forward to seeing how they continue to develop! 👏
