Science Week 🧪
Science Week was full of experimentation, curiosity, getting messy, trial and error, hands-on learning and of course, lots of fun! ✨
A friendly reminder that all children pictured within this post have social media permissions from their families and/or guardians. 💛

This morning, the kindergarten children from our Murray & Hume Rooms had the very exciting opportunity to come together for an incursion!
We were lucky enough to welcome Neisha, our wonderful “circus lady” as the children called her, who conducted a performance around the planets in our universe 🪐
The performance was interactive and filled with excitement, laughter, awe and happiness and the children absolutely loved it!
There were spinning plates, volcano making, puppets, ring tosses, raining clouds and more! 🫶🏼

✨ ROOM CHANGE REVEAL, KIEWA ROOM EDITION! ✨
After reflection, discussions and thoughtful planning as a team, we were so excited to come together last week and transform our Kiewa Room (1–2 years)! 🧡
We’ve refreshed the environment to better reflect the children’s current interests, emerging abilities and developmental needs, creating spaces that encourage curiosity, exploration, independence and connection for the remainder of the year.
It has been so lovely watching the children explore their new environment, engage with the changes and make the space their own. 🥰
And the best part? Our children, educators and families have absolutely loved the changes! ✨
Here’s to new spaces and lots of learning to come! 🌱

✨ Pyjama Week ✨
To make sure everyone had the chance to join in, we celebrated pyjama day across the whole week, giving all of our children and educators the opportunity to wear their favourite PJs to care!
Together, with the contributions of our wonderful families and team, we raised $75.00 for this incredible cause. Every dollar has now been donated.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make a difference 💙

It’s been almost a year since we last introduced our leadership team here at Guardian Wodonga West, so we thought it was time for a refresh!
Of course, we couldn’t just do a normal introduction… we had to have a little fun with it! 🤩
Here is an all about us! 🫶🏼
We can’t wait to continue another amazing year together! ✨

Celebrating NAIDOC Week ✨
Last week, we celebrated NAIDOC Week through creative experiences, sensory play and storytelling. Together, we had age-appropriate conversations that helped the children recognise and appreciate culture through a variety of meaningful experiences.
Learning through play helps build respect, curiosity and connection from an early age.

🌱 Did you know?
At Guardian Wodonga West, we’re proud to partner with GROW Paediatrics through our Victorian School Readiness Funding.
So, what does this mean for our children, families and educators?
It means our educators have regular opportunities to work alongside GROW’s incredible allied health professionals, who spend time in our learning environments every week. They mentor and guide our team through best practice, role model intentional teaching strategies, and support meaningful play experiences that help every child thrive.
Our partnership also extends to our families, with Jessie from GROW visiting each month to offer parent drop-in sessions, providing guidance, support and the opportunity to ask questions in a welcoming environment.
Behind the scenes, our educators and teachers also engage in intentional and reflective programming conversations with the GROW team, ensuring we’re making the most of this partnership while continually building our knowledge, confidence and practice.
We love being able to offer this level of support to our children, families and team because when we learn together, our children benefit the most. 💚
