Inspire FDC

Garden to plate! The children at Inspire FDC have been responsible for taking care of our plants and watching them grow each week. We have begun harvesting our parsley, mint, lettuce and carrots. We made some delicious tabouli, we dried our mint to add to our cooking, we ate our small juicy carrots and made a salad with our lettuce. The children are learning to eat what they grow and really enjoying this experience 😊

Science Week at Inspire FDC!

One of our little friends felt like some ice cream at daycare. So, we made an ice cream shop to extend on her interest. Lots of learning opportunities and so much fun!

We have some new plants at Inspire FDC.

We have:

Carrots
Parsley
Mint
Lettuce
Lemons

And a very special cinnamon myrtle plant to introduce Aboriginal bush tucker.

The children will be responsible for these plants and look after them while they are here.

Instilling sustainable practices at a young age helps to guide their interest, understanding and teach them to care for our environment now and as they get older.

Our beautiful mums and Grandmothers came together to share a special morning tea for Mother’s Day. The children pampered their mummy’s and nannas with some relaxing massages and eye masks. They also made some gorgeous potions with flowers and jewels and shared some yummy foods with their favourites!
