πŸ“œπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί Year 4 Rocks Walking Excursion πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ“œ

Last week, our Year 4 students enjoyed a fantastic day exploring The Rocks and stepping back in time to learn about the arrival of the First Fleet.

Students participated in an engaging guided tour, discovering what life was like for convicts, settlers, and Aboriginal peoples during the early days of European settlement. They explored historic sites, visited the museum, and developed a deeper understanding of the significant events that helped shape Australia’s history.

It was wonderful to see our students asking thoughtful questions, making connections to their classroom learning, and bringing history to life through hands-on experiences.

A big thank you to our guides and staff who made this memorable learning experience possible!

✨ 🎀 Year 3 has been working hard on developing their public speaking skills! 🎀✨

Students have been focusing on both being confident presenters and respectful audience members. They have been practising:
✨ Using voice effects such as tone, volume, pitch and pace
✨ Looking at and engaging with their audience
✨ Using positive body language, confidence and gestures to enhance their presentations

We are so proud of the effort and growth our Year 3 students are showing as they develop these important communication skills!
