📚✨ BOOK WEEK IS HERE! ✨📚

We are only 2 days into Book Week and we have already had so much fun! 💛📖

Our children and educators have been embracing the magic of books, stories and imagination. We have loved seeing everyone getting into the spirit of Book Week and sharing their favourite characters and stories with each other. 🧚‍♀️🦸‍♂️🐻👑

And we still have plenty more Book Week fun to come! We can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings. 📚✨

A Wild Day Out! 🐨🐯🦘

What a wonderful day our Kinder children had at Ballarat Wildlife Park! 🐾

The children had so much fun exploring the park and getting up close to some amazing animals. They loved watching the snake swim 🐍 and spotting the tiger walking along the fence. They were also delighted to see the adorable baby koalas. 🐨💕

A highlight for many was feeding the kangaroos and alpacas. 🦘🦙 The children showed such excitement and curiosity throughout the day and enjoyed learning about the animals and their habitats.

It was certainly a wonderful day filled with adventure, learning and lots of happy memories!

A wonderful time was had by all! ✨

In our Kinder 2 classroom we’re taking another exciting step towards school readiness! 🌟✏️

Our children now have a special whiteboard where they can practise writing their own names as they sign in for the day.

🌟 Collaborative Learning in Kinder 2! 🌟

What started as two Kinder 2 children sitting together and building puzzles soon grew into something much bigger! 🧩✨

Together, they began constructing with a range of different blocks and materials, sharing their ideas, listening to one another and working collaboratively to bring their creations to life.

It was wonderful to see them problem solve together, negotiate their ideas and build upon each other’s thinking as their construction evolved.

We love seeing where children’s ideas and curiosity can take their learning! 🌱✨

Today we are celebrating the amazing Nathalie! 💜✨

Nathalie consistently demonstrates what it means to put children at the heart of everything she does. Her commitment to safeguarding, knowing the children in her care so deeply, and recognising when something just isn’t quite right is truly exceptional. 🫶

She goes above and beyond every day, from providing thoughtful and detailed handovers to families, to making every family feel welcomed with her genuine smile, warmth and care. 💕

Nathalie’s ability to build strong relationships, create a sense of belonging and advocate for the safety, wellbeing and individual needs of every child is something we are incredibly proud of.

Our Commonwealth Games for Journey Winchelsea, were held at the Winchelsea Tennis Courts, and what a fantastic day it was! 🎯🏀

The children enjoyed a wide range of activities, including fishing, archery, relay races, egg-and-spoon races, throwing challenges, frisbee, and many more fun events.

It was wonderful to see our Nursery children giving every activity a go with enthusiasm, while our Kinder children worked together as teams during the relay races, showing great cooperation and encouragement.

Today our children and educators enjoyed a cosy PJ Day at Journey Early Learning Winchelsea. From relaxing with friends to sharing stories and enjoying a day filled with laughter, it was wonderful to see everyone embracing the fun in their favourite pyjamas.
