More texts have now arrived!

Our fundraising efforts from Term 1 have been put towards more books! Here are some of our students (and Mr Babb) with their new class text for this term "His Name Was Walter."

Big thanks to our parents who came along on the trivia night and to anyone who has put some money over the BBQ, into the sock drive or the pie drive. We love reading @ Winch!

Strike Will Go Ahead on Thursday - No Classes

Dear parents and carers,

The Australian Education Union has called on its members to take strike action on Thursday 23 July 2026.

Based upon the information provided to me, most of our teaching staff will be taking part in the strike action. As a consequence, the school will not run any of its normal classes. Families are advised to find alternative care arrangements for their children for Thursday,

If this will cause you difficulties, in particular if you are a critical services worker, please get in contact with the school via email or phone.

The school office is open until 4pm today and tomorrow from 8:15am-4pm.

Thanks to our community's amazing fundraising efforts, we've now received the first box of new decodable readers for our youngest readers.

Decodable readers are the 'take home' books in early years. Many thanks to all of our sponsors and the attendees of our Trivia Night! We love reading here @ Winch!
