Practice Tip 💡 Good Vibes Only. If you’re feeling pressure to continue your child’s learning at home, don’t worry about it! The important thing is that your child has consistent and enjoyable experiences practicing at home. Their teacher can handle all the nitty gritty - keep home practice a chill time!

Practice Tip! This is our most fundamental concept: children need support at home to have effective and enjoyable practice sessions. They need structure! Sitting with them and being actively involved in their practice is essential in supporting them in their music journey. As time goes by they will need you less and less, and that's awesome, but the structure you provide early on will help them for the rest of their lives.

The brand new Practice-a-thon Mural is ready and waiting for lots of stickers this month! It looks so beautiful and how awesome is it that it’s of our local area, too? This will soon be filled with lots of lovely stars, each representing a day of practice by our students. Small, consistent efforts that create something special when we work together - that’s a musical philosophy that’s worth holding on to! The Music Playground Practice-a-thon starts NEXT WEEK! We’re so happy to be supporting Keys of Life this month, a foundation that trains teachers in how to teach music to students with disabilities and diverse learning needs. As we always strive to be a safe place for those students, this cause is extremely important to us. The Practice-a-thon supports consistent practice at home AND helps the wider community have better access to music education.
