Nature is the greatest artist! 💚

🌳 This is not a painting — it’s the view from beneath an ancient pedunculate oak. It is over 400 years old.

When you gaze upward, the interwoven branches create a soaring hall of light and vitality — nature’s own grand masterpiece.

A lovely quote… “Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps the singing bird will come” by Lois Lowry.

Gorgeous trees! Beautiful examples of individual expression.

𝙒𝙤𝙤𝙙 element relates to the season of 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 and governs the Liver and Gall Bladder energy in our body. In balance, the Wood element gives us the raw vital energy to create and express our potential and purpose into the world. In 𝙒𝒖 𝑻𝙖𝒐 we use the image of the tree, dancing ourselves as the tree into Life. We dance our roots down into the earth so that we are grounded and can be nourished by the Yin energy of Life. We grow ourselves up as the young plant into the sapling, expressing ourselves into our leaves and branches. Reaching for the light of the Sun, drawing the Yang energy into our being. Through this dance we embody flow, vitality, self-expression and purpose. We also allow ourselves to simply be who we are, without effort or force, just as the tree is what it is

So beautiful!

An aerial view shows farmers collecting water lilies in Satla Union, Uzirpur Upazila of Barisal city in Bangladesh. The water lilies grow for four months, from August until November, and 80% of the villagers are involved in their cultivation and marketing.

So true! 🧡

The master keeps her mind always at one with the Tao;
That is what gives her radiance.
The Tao is ungraspable,
How can her mind be at one with it?
Because she doesn’t cling to ideas.
The Tao is dark and unfathomable,
So, how can it make her radiant?
Because she lets it.
Since before time and space were,
The Tao is.
It is beyond is and is not.
How do I know this is true?
I look inside myself and see.

My solution to any trouble, any loneliness 13/07/2024

In Wu Tao Dance we dance with the imagery and symbols of the tree. The dances help reawaken our creative spark, remind us to trust and flow, the dances take us home to a place of stillness within ourselves, and to a sense of deep peace.

Here are some lovely quotes from Herman Hesse’s writing “Trees: An Anthology Of Writings And Paintings.” They resonate with me and with Wu Tao beautifully. Enjoy!

- “A tree says: A kernel is hidden in me, a spark, a thought, I am life from eternal life.”
- “A tree says: My strength is trust.”
- “Be still! Be still! Look at me! Life is not easy, life is not difficult.
- “Home is within you, or home is nowhere at all.
