Meet Bec!
Around 3 months ago when Bec first spoke to one of our coaches she mentioned she had chronic pain, but wanted to be able move freely again . Bec started supervised sessions twice a week and then moved to 3 times per week with great results. When first starting Bec was anxious about completing a bar push up because of the pain, and now being able to do push ups on the floor! Along with this great improvement, has noticed improvements in day to day life and increasing confidence to be able to do things recently has not been able to do!

Meet the team! Emily is one of our coaches here at WPT, yesterday Emily absolutely smashed out the Melbourne Half Marathon in under 2 hours, what a legend!!
Emily is a qualified Exercise Scientist through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). She has a Bachelor degree in Exercise and Sports Science as well as her Junior competitive coaching licence with Swimming Australia. Emily has been working as an Exercise Scientist since graduating late 2021 and has experience in both clinical and sporting environments. She has also had years of experience with coaching Juniors in competitive swimming, as well as learn to swim experience teaching children as young as 3 years old up to adults 30+years old.
Emily was a national qualified competitive swimmer up until the age of 19. These days she enjoys keeping active through ocean swimming, running and dancing! Sport and exercise have been a massive influence in Emily's life, and is why Emily is passionate to work with individuals to help them create healthy lifestyle habits with exercise for themselves. Small group class times for this coming week.
The two public holidays this week mean we will have reduced classes, but both Thursday and Friday we are pleased to be able to offer a couple of times for each morning, so you can continue to train into the long weekend. Please donβt hesitate to contact us for more info. We are looking forward to a strong week of training ahead!

The benefit of these small classes is so we can instruct you to reduce your risk of injury but also so you get the most out of your session. Get in quick so you don't miss out on your preferred choice of class time!
This membership offer allows members to move between small group classes and pilates freely for a weekly payment of $99. All you need to do is sign up and then you will have access to your own account in our app where you can simply book yourself in to available times.

Meet the team! Carmel is our amazing Pilates instructor
Carmel is a qualified Pilates instructor through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. She also has completed modules towards her Certificate 4 in Personal training. Carmel has a Bachelor of Musical Theatre (WAAPA),RAD Ballet qualifications, CSTD Theatrical dance qualifications (Jazz,tap, ballet and acrobatics) and a Graduate Diploma in Education. All her skills combined ensures a fun, yet personal progressive class.
She has had an extensive career performing in musicals and with Disney, nationally and internationally. She has taught for 25 years.
Pilates is a passion as it is a form of exercise that aids in rehabilitation.
Carmel personally is utilising Pilates to help her regain physical strength post an ACL tear and understands individualised needs to help you achieve your goals.

At W***y PT we offer small group training with maximum of 6 per class except for social Saturdays where we change things up a bit and allow 10! These small group classes prevents you from getting lost amongst other members compared to larger facilities.
We also have multiple reformer pilates classes running, maximum of 5 in these classes, you will try it once and fall in love with it, without a doubt!!
