How wonderful to have the Ararat Neighbourhood House Fresh Food Van visit Willaura on Tuesday! A heartfelt thank you to Teli Kaur and volunteers Peter and Pat. We had these overflowing bags of goodness delivered to the kinder. We're over the moon to see this incredible selection of fresh veggies and fruit available to everyone, spreading nourishment in our community! 🙏

We would like to extend a big thank you and much appreciation to the Willaura and Lake Bolac Community Bank for our grant this year. The Bendigo Bank have always been big supporters of the kindergarten. In recent years some of the things we have had help purchasing include our shade sails, inside gym equipment, bikes and this year we were able to purchase gumboots, wet weather pants, comfy floor mats and these acoustic wall boards which double as areas for visual displays and games, all boosting learning opportunities.🙂

Summer holidays are a great time to help young children prepare for starting kindergarten by practising sun safety and healthy habits for hot days. Encourage children to play in the shade, wear a hat, and apply sunscreen when outdoors. Drinking plenty of water, rather than juices or sweet drinks, helps children stay hydrated and healthy.
