The building on the left of the photograph was opened in 1904 and acted as a school (a primary school, on the left side of the building, and a Girls High School, on the right side of the building) until 1976. The building on the right of the photograph was the Infants School.

The hand-written first page, from 1986, of Wayne Jarman - Author and Artist's Epic Fantasy Novel, 'To the Honour of the Kings'.
Tonight, while cleaning out our 'junk' room, I found a box containing the hand-written copy of my fantasy novel, To the Honour of the Kings. I was wondering where this got to. The note at top left says 'Rewritten 31-10-86'. (For my American friends, this is 31 Oct 1986.)

It has been a quiet year, on this Page.
No-one has come forward with new photos or memories ...and I (usually) will not annoy you with Posts for no reason.
However, I'm posting this because:
1. Who can ignore Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie,
2. I'm still here if you find some old photos (just a reminder), and
3. If you went to any of the Wickham Schools, you might have reached an age when you occasionally have a deaf moment.

I've heard so many people say that 2024 has been a tough year for them. I've seen so many of my friends put up the meme about not 'feeling' Christmas this year.
Yep, I get it.
It has been a tough year in our household, as well. It has been a lousy health year!
Hang in there! It's life and it has its ups and downs. I hope 2025 will be an up year for you.
