Over the last three weeks the Road Safety Centre has become a victim of three break ins. Equipment taken was used to repair our bikes and maintain the grounds. Although we are insured each event creates an excess of $500 and likely to increase our already expensive insurance premiums. If any one is offered a lawnmower, blower , whipper snipper, compressor with air hoses, toolbox with tools, a Shewmn three wheel adult trike, power tools and a bike repair stand. Beware of anybody offering these items for sale and report to the police.

Unfortunately the Whyalla Road Safety Centre has been a victim of two break ins this past week. Among other items was a 26” red Schwinn trike. It has a dismantled gear lever awaiting parts when stolen. If anyone has any knowledge of this trike please contact Whyalla police.

The SAPOL Road Safety Centre is hosting a FREE 30 minute road safety session - Ride Smart: Essential E-Bike Safety Advice For Parents & Young Riders.

This session is aimed at parents or carers, young people who ride or are considering riding an e-bike, anyone thinking about purchasing an e-bike or e-scooter or a community member wanting to learn more about this new legislation.

AGM on Tuesday 21st April 2026 commencing at 7pm at the Centre on 6 Plum Street Whyalla Playford, everyone welcome. Tea and coffee provided. Interested in becoming a volunteer come along.

The Whyalla Road Safety Centre members were devastated to learn of the tragic loss of Graham “Fritz” Farquhar a friend and supporter of the Centre to the Cycling Club. He will be sadly missed. Condolences to Anne and family.🌹
