You ASKED and we LISTENED. 🤍 I don't know how many emails we have received that have asked us for this option and now we have finally done it!

We’re so excited to share that our print pack options are now available for our courses in Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9!

And this is just the beginning! We’re already working on expanding our print packs, with primary years planned for release over the coming months and our Year 10 print pack also coming in the near future.

Designed to complement our digital courses, these beautiful print-on-demand book packs make it easy for students to enjoy working through tangible, high-quality materials at home.

What’s included?

Our Years 7, 8, and 9 courses are now available as print-on-demand book packs, featuring the key resources needed throughout each course.

Each semester course (A and B includes 8 printed books, meaning students completing the full year will receive 16 books total to support their learning journey with beautiful, practical materials.

How it works:

- Books are printed to order
- Delivery usually takes around 2 weeks
- While you wait, you can begin immediately using the digital versions already included in your course

What if I already own the course?

If you’ve already purchased one of our courses, you can still purchase the matching print pack separately.

Simply log in to your learning platform, open your existing course, and you’ll find the option to purchase the print pack directly from within the course.

This makes it easy for existing members to add printed materials anytime without needing to repurchase the full course.

Note: Print packs are only sold as part of a course or to members who have already purchased a course. They are not sold as stand alone book packs.

Shipping:

We offer flat rate shipping Australia-wide for all book packs.

Currently available within Australia only.

We know many families love the flexibility of digital learning alongside the beauty and practicality of printed materials, and we’re thrilled to now offer both!

This list was created by me (Sarah) alongside my mum, founder of My Homeschool. I was homeschooled from beginning to end, and Mum homeschooled our family for nearly 20 years, so these are the joys we genuinely know to be true!

Looking back, I’m especially grateful for the slow, peaceful childhood that home education gave me. Doing my lessons often looked like being cosy on the couch with a cup of tea and book in hand, or lying on the trampoline doing my maths with the sun shining down. There was no hurry and learning felt calm and relaxed.

I also loved how much free time I had. Lessons were often short and focused, which left plenty of time for creativity, hobbies, and following my own interests – music, art, dance, hairstyling, sewing, you name it! My siblings and I were often told we were “talented,” but honestly, I think we simply had the time and energy to practise and develop our skills.

Home education isn’t perfect, and it won’t be the right fit for every family. However, as someone who has lived the homeschool life and now looks back with deep gratitude, I know it can be an incredible choice for many families.

What homeschool joys would you add to this list? 🤍

✨⏱️ These time suggestions are meant to be flexible and won’t be the same for everyone. Some days you’ll find lessons take less time, and other days they may take a little more. Think of them as a guide to the portion of your day set aside for academic lessons, carried out at a steady, unhurried pace. This often includes reading aloud together, written work, and time for short breaks.

Homeschooling is also a time juggle. The number of children you are teaching and the level of individual support each one needs will naturally affect how long lessons take. A parent homeschooling one child will usually finish much sooner than a parent guiding four children through their work.

It may also depend on your child’s academic goals. As children mature, they generally take on more independent work, and depending on your family routine, formal lessons may take place four or five days per week.

Learning doesn’t stop when lessons finish. Afternoons and free time are filled with rich opportunities for what many call “natural learning”—the kind of experiences children remember best. Excursions, nature walks, sports, art, music practice, hobbies, crafts, sewing, or even making short films all add to the atmosphere of a living education.

I hope these 9 tips are helpful as you navigate the world of homeschooling multiple children! With multiple kids you need to think realistically about the type of curriculum you choose. 📚

If you choose a teacher intensive graded curriculum for all your children, you are bound to fail because you simply don’t have time to give each child the time that each resource requires for it to be done properly. This is especially true, if you use curriculum that is really a school resource.

I found this out early in my homeschool journey when working with a rigorous reading and math program that required lots of one-on-one time. It was a labour intensive style which probably worked well for a class but it didn’t work for homeschooling more than one child. It had games to set up, special hand movements to follow, flash cards and long spelling lists to do daily. Each lesson took 30 – 40 mins and it required focused attention from me and my pupil.

However, that was much easier said than done, aka impossible. Everyday became a battle because I just found it distressing to ignore the other children while I focused on just one child doing one subject. But I blamed myself for the failure – It took me a while to realise, there was a better way. ✨

The first discovery was using the Charlotte Mason Method. It was much more family friendly. Read more about homeschool multiple children on the blog! https://myhomeschool.com/homeschooling/resources/multiple-ages/ 📖
