We had a very exciting visit James from Just Dream Productions with his Reptile show last week!
Emma and Mel were brave enough to have Noodles the coastal carpet python around their neck.

🌿Before the holidays, we walked on Country with Aunty Michelle Earl, who shared her knowledge of the bush tucker and medicinal plants found in the bushland behind our preschool. When we returned to preschool we continued this learning by cooking Johnny Cakes using saltbush and lemon myrtle. We also explored a range of other experiences, including painting on paperbark, drawing Aboriginal symbols in sand using sticks, and creating small-world experiences🌿

By providing children these experiences it further develops their understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and connection to Country. ❤🖤💛

Over the past few weeks, the children have been engaging in conversations about our upcoming bush walks and learning about the importance of caring for Country. Today Archer and River proudly shared an experience they had while on a bush walk with their mum.

Archer explained that while they were walking through the bush, he told his mum all about caring for Country and the things we have been learning at preschool. He excitedly shared that he wanted his mum to record a video of him talking about caring for Country so she could send it to preschool for his teachers and friends to see.

Archer spoke about looking after nature, respecting the environment, and being careful not to damage plants or leave rubbish behind. 🌿🍃🌱🦋
