What if “nothing’s happening” is actually a critical part of learning? 🧠👶
Research shows babies can begin learning patterns in speech as early as 4 months. Yet a few months later, that same learning can become harder to observe – before reappearing in a different form.
During the first year, the brain is constantly restructuring – integrating sounds, meanings, and patterns into something more complex.
Even when progress is hard to see, learning may still be unfolding, preparing the ground for what comes next.

Sometimes learning happens in the smallest shared moments.💞
Joint attention is about sharing attention with your child - pointing, labelling, and talking about something together.
When you follow your child's gaze and label what they're looking at, you're helping them connect words with the world around them.
These everyday moments help build children's vocabulary. ✨️
