𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 | 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿

Dr Luke Bookallil graduated from Sydney University in 1995 and previously practised the full gamut of rural general practice in Armidale, making him one of Australia’s most experienced GPs.

He holds a Master of Sports Medicine and a Fellowship from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Dr Luke practises as a GP specialising in Skin Cancer Medicine in regional NSW and Sydney.

Dr Luke acts as a Censor for the Skin Cancer College Australasia and is a highly regarded presenter and teacher across dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery in Australia and internationally.

He is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of New England, is currently involved in skin cancer medicine research and is published in international journals. He is also accredited by The Armidale Private Hospital for skin cancer surgical procedures.

We are pleased to welcome Jay Allen OAM to the Australasian Dermoscopy Meeting 2026 in Cairns.

Jay Allen OAM is the Founder and CEO of the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation and a two-time cancer survivor.

He is behind Australia’s two national mobile skin check trucks and has led walk campaigns across Australia that have raised millions of dollars for cancer research and patient support.

Since being diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma in 2008, and throat cancer in 2021, Jay witnessed gaps in the system in terms of patient voice and lack of support for many on their cancer journey.

“Coming together to form the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation, the team and I hope to bridge this gap so no-one goes through a skin cancer diagnosis alone. We will continue to raise awareness and generate funds; because more research means more successful treatments.”
