A welcome sight overnight, with an additional 400 of you signing our parliamentary petition for Homebirth access.
The more that sign, the more serious the Health Minister will take this issue.
An insurer should not get to override existing homebirth arrangements to effectively eliminate homebirth access from rural and regional areas.

As some may know, I recently opened up my practice in the Meander Valley. I was quite shocked to realise that most people do not know what a private midwife is or what we do, despite being around since 2010! So I am going to write a series of posts outlining what it is we actually do! Here is the first lot of info for you.
1. We do prescribe medications
2. We do order ultrasounds
3. We do specialise in physiological birth, however care for all women despite the complexities
4. We do not do c/sections (we can support you through this, though)
5. This practice does a women's health clinic, including Implanon, iron infusions, cervical screening and sexual health advice
