For this Flashback Friday, we remember the late Founding Principal, Mr Jerry Smith, whose vision, leadership and dedication helped shape the foundations of Victory.

Answering the call to become Principal, Jerry relocated from Prince of Peace Lutheran Primary School in Everton Hills, Brisbane, bringing with him a wealth of experience in primary education. His expertise and steady leadership guided Victory from its humble beginnings, nurturing its growth into the thriving school community we know today.

Jerry's legacy lives on through the values, culture and strong sense of community he helped establish, and we remain grateful for the lasting impact he made on generations of students, families and staff.

It's Flashback Friday and we are wondering where are the Class of 2021? We hope to see you at V26 on Friday, 16th October, where you can catch up and talk about the craziness of finishing school during the end of COVID. At this time, masks were still being worn for some inside events but not for others, it was the cross border regulations that bamboozled us.

It's Flashback Friday and it's true, we can't resist a little Then & Now comparison, particularly when the new Hudson Student Services Hub is nearly completion! Here are a few highlights from the opening of the McInnes Hall in 1999 which was named after Mr Tim McInnes, past School Council President. The McInnes Hall, which then became the Library was dedicated by Rev. Dr. David Stolz and opened by then MP, Mr Lou Liberman. The new Hudson Student Services Hub now adjoins the McInnes Library into one massive centre dedicated to student services.

It's Flashback Friday and the staff fondly remember the 2022 service learning and end of year initiative by Year 11 to raise money by washing staff members' cars.

We love seeing our past students return to Victory, and Bethany’s journey is one worth celebrating.

As our VCAL (now VCE Vocational Major) Dux in 2023, Bethany began building her career while studying at the College through a School-Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship (SBAT) in Early Childhood Education. This opportunity allowed her to gain industry experience, a qualification and paid employment before graduation.

Since then, she has completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education while continuing to work in the sector and is now studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Charles Sturt University. Last week, Bethany’s pathway came full circle when she returned to Victory to undertake a university placement in our Foundation classroom.

Her journey is a wonderful example of how vocational education and clear pathways can open doors to meaningful career opportunities, and we are proud to see her continued success.

It's Flashback Friday and in 2017, these young Primary students were testing out their hockey skills in one of the many hockey clinics run each year. We spotted a few hockey super stars still playing for Victory today.

It's Flashback Friday and we pulled these pics from the 2006 archives when the flagpole was installed. We were amazed by how much Victory has grown. The water tank in the background is no longer there, replaced by Gull, Miles and Drover. Those open fields are now surrounding housing.

It might be Flashback Friday today but Book Week is just around the corner! We found these too cute pics from 2011 Book Week dress up day which also happened to be Grandparents Day. Beautiful memories of both.

It's Flashback Friday and we found Year 2 in 2015 learning how to tie their shoelaces in a special session hosted by the Athletes Foot in Albury.
