Learn Ahead acknowledges the resilience that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have always shown in their continued commitment to getting up, standing up, and showing up and in their quest for justice, equity and their rightful recognition in the Australian constitution.

In solidarity, for the duration of NAIDOC week, we are offering the module "Maintaining Resilience" free of charge. https://hub.learnahead.com.au/

“Be Brave, Make Change” is the challenge extended to all of us this National Reconciliation week. Interestingly I’m creating a course called Leading through Change for Kinetic IT at the moment and when it comes to change, we all seem to want to see change in others rather than ourselves.
We need to be brave enough to have a look at ourselves and acknowledge that to see any change in the world the change has to start with ourselves.
One of the changes we can make is to become less biased and prejudiced. We can do this by:
• extending our circles of friendships beyond our comfort zones
• reflecting on our thoughts and decisions for example when it comes to hiring or assigning roles and tasks
• completing an Implicit Association Test and finding out if we have unconscious bias
• acknowledging that we may be biased and take steps to mitigate that bias
It is great to hear our new Prime Minister talk about leading for all Australians and having a more diverse parliament. We can do more though, and it start with us. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world.

Will your organisation be a part of this growth? Has your organisation simply taken your face to face training on Zoom (or similar) or do you have interactive online courses? What's been your experience so far? 🤓
