It’s been a little quieter than usual at the studio lately and I wanted to share a little of why ❤️

I’ve been away on holidays for a little while, with some exciting things happening behind the scenes that I can’t wait to share with you all soon. But alongside that, I’ve also been taking some time away to say goodbye to someone incredibly special to me, my Pop.

My Pop was such an important part of my life and someone who helped shape the person I am today, including my love for creativity.

The drawing I’m sharing is of a little model truck he gave me when I was young. It’s something I’ve held onto all these years and being able to sit down and draw it felt like a small way to honour him and the memories attached to it.

It’s a reminder that sometimes the things we create are about so much more than the finished piece. They hold memories, tell stories and help us stay connected to the people and moments that mean the most to us.

Thank you for your patience and kindness while I’ve been a little quieter than usual. I’m slowly finding my way back into things and look forward to sharing more with you soon.

Sometimes it’s good to step away from the studio and simply spend some time in nature. 😌

I’m taking a moment to slow down, notice the colours, textures and little details and let nature provide a little creative inspiration.

Spring is full of beautiful things to capture, from wildflowers and native blooms to birds, leaves and all those little details that make the season feel special. 💚

Feeling inspired? Why not take some time for yourself and try something new? We have art workshops inspired by nature, where you can bring a little bit of spring to paper. 🌼✍️🎨

Introducing Sketch Amongst The Tulips! 🌷🎨

This spring, we’re swapping the studio walls for something special and taking Artsie to Araluen Botanic Park for a very special outdoor workshop experience amongst the tulips. 🌷✨

This is your chance to slow down, explore and get creative surrounded by one of Perth’s most beautiful spring displays.

We’ll take a relaxed wander through the gardens, find inspiration amongst the blooms and spend some time sketching what catches our eye. No previous drawing experience needed, just bring yourself and your creativity! And yes… your park entry is included! 🙌

Whether you’re already an Artsie regular or this will be your first workshop, come and join us for a creative escape amongst the tulips. 💛

Artsie Studio is back in session!! 🍾🎉

They say moving house is stressful… turns out almost moving business premises is too!

After a month of lease negotiations, reading plenty of fine print and a little back-and-forth, I’m very happy to say that Artsie Studio is staying right where it is — at our Railway Parade warehouse in West Leederville!

After packing down the studio and preparing to say goodbye when our lovely friends at Wattle & Wax moved on, we made the decision to stay in the space we’ve come to call home.

Now it’s time to get back to what I love most… teaching art! 🎨

Well… almost. 😅

Workshops officially kick off again this weekend!
The studio is almost ready, with a few upgrades and a brand-new mural in the works 👀🎨 Watch this space for updates!

A little artistic throwback to when I stumbled upon an old junkyard in the middle of the outback last year.

These old cars might now be scrap but they still make you wonder about the stories they carry. Who owned them? Where did they travel? Where did they come from and how did they end up all the way out here?

There’s something about drawing old, forgotten things that makes you imagine the life they once had. 🚗

I know some of you have been waiting for the next workshop dates and I’m happy to say they’ll be returning soon!
