The Graduate College of Dance

Established in 1973, TGCD is one of Australia’s leading vocational dance schools. The College is located at 37 Oxford Close, West Leederville.

The College trains students to excel both nationally and internationally, producing elite dancers for dance schools and companies in Australia and around the world. The Graduate College of Dance's progressive syllabus is unique to the College, and has been developed by drawing upon valuable traditions from various schools of classical ballet, retaining the best, while embracing the demands of clas

sical dance technique as is required of professional dancers today. The final three years of study are endorsed by the Department of Education’s Schools Curriculum and Standard Authority. Students completing each of these years of study gain points towards their final WACE. The Graduate College of Dance believes it is necessary that all students have a broad-based comprehensive education, that equips them to pursue vocations not only in dance and the allied arts, but also in areas outside dance. The building has easy access parking, is close to the Joondalup and Fremantle train lines, and is a 15 minute walk from the School of Isolated and Distance Education. For over 45-years, The Graduate College of Dance remains committed to providing elite dance training, nurturing passion and inspiring growth.

We were delighted to welcome Reika Sato, Rehearsal Director of West Australian Ballet, to the College over two days of examinations.

We are delighted to have Sandrine Delasalle-Scannella with us for her third week, continuing the creation of a brand-new work for our Full-Time Program students for our End of Year Production.

It is a privilege for our students to be part of the creative process, collaborating with an artist of Sandrine’s calibre and experiencing firsthand how a new work evolves from the studio to the stage.

We can’t wait to unveil the finished piece later this year.

We are thrilled to congratulate Amelia on her acceptance into the prestigious American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York.

She has been offered a place in the Full-Time Upper 2 Pre-Professional Division, an extraordinary achievement and a reflection of years of dedication, discipline and passion for classical ballet.

The American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School is recognised as one of the world’s leading ballet training institutions, and acceptance into its program is a remarkable honour.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to The Aus Prix for providing opportunities that connect talented young dancers with world-class schools and international pathways. These scholarships have the power to change lives, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of that journey.
