We commenced training in July 2016 and traded under New York College. This name was chosen out of our Directors love for the city of New York. It was then very well established as a known name to the locals and the industry. But it caused confusion to the new markets overseas and were often mixed with an Institute from New York City. We then collected feedback from our stakeholders and partners and acted upon it to change the name. After days put into the thought process and short-listing from an exhaustive list of names, we chose to name it Vocational Careers Institute since it aligned with our focus on the VET courses. We achieved rapid growth throughout most challenging periods educational institutions in Australia have ever experienced. We believe our success is due to our passion for providing everything students need to succeed. We have highly qualified trainers, who genuinely care about their students, modern, comfortable classrooms and student lounges, well-equipped computer laboratories, plenty of student support and professional counselling services – and convenient location. We strive to be provider of choice for quality education services for international students. Our services are designed to assist students in realising their full potential in their chosen areas of learning to help them become productive and valuable members of society wherever they choose to reside and work.

As a precaution, please take a moment to review the action plan below in case the storm escalates:

Storm Safety Action Plan
Before the Storm:
✅ Stay Informed – Keep an eye on weather updates through the Bureau of Meteorology website, emergency services, and official university/campus notifications.
✅ Secure Your Belongings – Bring outdoor furniture, bikes, and loose items indoors to prevent them from being blown away.
✅ Check Emergency Contacts – Ensure your emergency contacts are up to date with the university or accommodation provider.
✅ Prepare an Emergency Kit – Have essentials like a flashlight, batteries, power bank, water, snacks, and important documents in a waterproof bag.

During the Storm:
⚠️ Stay Indoors – Avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary.
⚠️ Keep Away from Windows – Strong winds and debris can break glass. Move to a safer area inside, like a hallway or bathroom.
