Victoria's training and TAFE system delivers high quality training that leads learners to real jobs. Skills First is ensuring Victoria can provide the skilled workers needed for the sectors primed for major job growth.

From 1 January 2023, you need to meet these requirements to be eligible for Skills First subsidised training:

You must be:

an Australian citizen, or
an Australian permanent resident, or
a New Zealand citizen.

You must be physically present in Victoria while participating in training and assessment.
