Book Week Community Connection

As part of our Book Week celebrations, students from 2A and 3G enjoyed a special visit to Arcare Aged Care Riverwalk today.

Students brought along some of their favourite books to read and share with the residents, spending the morning connecting over stories and celebrating the joy of reading.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to build their confidence reading aloud, connect with members of our local community and share a little Book Week magic beyond the school gates.

A big thank you to the residents and staff at Arcare Aged Care for welcoming us!

5 talented Year 4 students had a fantastic time participating in a Maths Game Day at St Lawrence PS competing against other schools! The team worked collaboratively and challenged their mathematical thinking through an exciting Amazing Race, where they answered a range of maths questions, as well as engaging in partner games and a Kahoot. The day finished with a special raffle recognising students who demonstrated the St Lawrence PS school values throughout the day. Congratulations to Lasya who was one of the lucky raffle winners! The day concluded with a presentation celebrating the students’ participation, teamwork and enthusiasm for mathematics. Well done to these Riverwalk students. You should all be so proud of yourselves!

National Water Week Poster Competition

Calling all young artists! This year’s theme is “Water Heroes: Make Every Drop Count.”

Students are invited to create an original A4 or A3 poster using art materials or digital technology. Primary school entries are individual, and there are some fantastic prizes to be won!

Entries close at 5pm on Friday 11th September 2026.

We are excited to celebrate Book Week 2026 with our annual Book Parade!

Students are encouraged to come dressed as a favourite book character and join in the fun as we celebrate this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories.”

Parents and families are warmly invited to attend and enjoy the parade with us.

We can’t wait to see all the wonderful and creative costumes!

Jeans for Genes Day – Friday 7th of August

This Friday, we’re supporting Jeans for Genes Day to help raise awareness and funds for genetic research.

Students are invited to wear jeans or any denim item to show their support.

If you’d like to donate, students can bring a gold coin donation, or you can use the link below to contribute online. Your support helps scientists work towards life-changing treatments and cures for children living with genetic diseases.

Yesterday, our Foundation students celebrated 100 Days of Learning with our 100 Days Brighter celebration.

The day was filled with fun 100-themed activities, creativity, teamwork and plenty of smiles as students reflected on just how much they have learned and achieved since starting school.

We are so proud of everything our Foundation students have accomplished over their first 100 days and can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings. Here's to the next 100 days!

Congratulations to our students who achieved 100% attendance for Semester 1, 2026!

Today we celebrated their fantastic effort and commitment with a special pizza lunch. We are so proud of these students for showing up every day, being ready to learn, and making the most of every school day.
