A massive thank you to our incredible alumni who returned to support our Year 7 & 8 Careers Expo 2026 last Friday!

Our students had the opportunity to hear about a wide range of career pathways, industries, study journeys, and life experiences from our alumni. Thank-you, Mark Wilson, Mustafa Kohzad, Terrilee Wright and Leanne Morgan-McKee who gave up their valuable time to support our students- it is greatly appreciated! We couldn't run these events without you and having past students share their expertise makes us so proud! Ourschool Wyndham Central College

A perk of Wyndham Central College's relationship with Ourschool who support me to operate the Alumni Program here at Wyndham Central College (previously Werribee Tech and Galvin Park SC, we get the opportunity to participate in a range of Industry Insight Sessions.

Last Thursday, Year 11 and 12 Accounting students at our school, took part in an excursion to KPMG Melbourne headquarters to find out how about careers in the consulting area, what's it like to work in a global company and what employers are looking for when interviewing a graduate for a job. The KPMG staff challenged the students to think about new ideas, gave them a guided tour of the KPMG building, hosted small group discussion pods and topped the excursion off with a delicious lunch.

Thanks to our accounting teachers for participating in this session. If you are working in an interesting field, we are always looking for Alumni to come back to speak to our students- so reach out if you want to be a part of it! Wyndham Central College

On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming back two of our alumni, Mark Wilson (Class of 1986) and Eve Paesler (Class of 2022), for an engaging and insightful panel with our 2026 Year 12 students.

Sharing their journeys beyond school, both alumni spoke honestly about their Year 12 experiences; the challenges, the highlights, and the lessons they’ve carried with them into their careers and life beyond the classroom. From managing motivation and balancing commitments to making the most of opportunities, their advice was both practical and inspiring.

After completing VCAL (now called Vocational Major) Eve went on to work in the Audio-Visual field, a pathway discovered at school by participating in the Paradox FReeZA Crew. Mark, worked in corporate IT before going back to study Visual Arts later in life and is now Red Herring Arts. https://redherringarts.com/

Our students asked thoughtful questions and gained valuable insights into resilience, study strategies, and navigating life after school. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen connections across generations and remind our students that success looks different for everyone.

A huge thank you to Mark and Eve for giving back to our community and inspiring the next generation! Reach out if you want to be a part of our community and come back to speak to our students!

We finished last term on a high with a fantastic Year 12 Business Management Alumni Session featuring alum, Rebecca Fortune (Nee' Mills) Class of 2009.

Rebecca shared her journey beyond school, offering valuable insights into her career pathway as the Client Partnerships Director at HIVE Creative; the skills she uses every day, and the lessons she’s learned since graduating. Our students had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions and gain real-world advice on everything from entering the workforce to building resilience and making key decisions for the future.

Our Alumni sessions are all about connection, reflection, and inspiring our Year 12 students to strive for excellence as they continue their final year.

A big thank you to Rebecca for giving back to our school community and helping to motivate the next generation! Reach out if you want to come back and talk about your career! Ourschool Wyndham Central College
