Sunraysia Flying School Sunraysia Flying School (SFS) was established in 2010. The school is open 5 days a week.

Initially a flying school set up to train Recreational Aviation (RA) pilots only, the school has been expanded to train General Aviation (GA) pilots as well. Operating out of hanger 10 at Mildura Airport, using a Tecnam P92 for our RA training and a Cessna 172 for the GA training. The General Aviation pilot training is conducted under the guidance of Bendigo Aviation Services, both the Cessna 172

and Tecnam P92 are both very forgiving aircraft and make ideal training aircraft. With the option of being able to train under either Recreational Aviation Rules, or General Aviation Rules, the choice to become a pilot can be just for fun, or can be a career making choice.

Our Story

Sunraysia Flying School (SFS) was established in 2010. Initially the flying school was set up to train Recreational Aviation (RAAus) pilots only. In 2011 the school expanded into General Aviation (GA) training as well. After operating under Bendigo Aviation’s AOC for four years until it was sold to Soar Aviation, Sunraysia Flying School ceased GA operations. Whilst still operating out of hanger 10 at Mildura Airport, and currently using a Brumby 610 high wing aircraft for our RA training, the school is open 6 days a week. The choice to become a pilot can be just for fun, or can be a career making choice.
