ππ What an amazing day at Wentworth Falls Public School today! π
This morning, our Stage 2 students enjoyed their Cricket Blast Day, with representatives from Sydney Thunder running a range of fun and engaging games. The day was a fantastic culmination of the cricket skills sessions students have been participating in throughout the term. ππ
Then after lunch, the excitement continued as three Penrith Panthers players visited our entire school! π€© Many of our students who play for the Mountain Devils Rugby League Club, along with others involved in rugby league across the Mountains, loved the opportunity to meet and hear from professional players. πΎπ
A huge thank you to Cricket NSW, Sydney Thunder, the NRL and the Penrith Panthers for providing these incredible real-world opportunities for our students. Experiences like these help our students connect with each other, build healthy lifestyles and discover the joy of being physically active. πππ

πππ Today our boys and girls PSSA Touch Football teams headed down to Warimoo to finally get their games underway after weeks of wet weather! βοΈβ‘οΈβοΈ
The boys played first and gave it their all against an experienced opposition, showing great determination and never giving up despite the result.
Our girls then took to the field and played like a team that had been together for years! π€© They scored some brilliant tries and produced an impenetrable defensive line to come away with an outstanding 10β0 victory! πͺπββοΈπ
A huge thank you to our referees for giving up their time, and to our wonderful parents for transporting and supporting our players throughout the day. ππ
We are incredibly proud of the sportsmanship, teamwork and effort shown by all of our students.

Boys PSSA Soccer
Today our Boys PSSA Soccer team finally played their first game soccer game against Ellison Public School. And what a game it was! Our boys lead 2-0 after half time. In the second half Ellison pushed back and levelled the score. We played 10 minutes of extra time and scores were still level.
We finally went to a penalty shoot out to decide the winner. After some tense moments Wentworth Falls Public School were victorious, winning the shoot out 3-2.
Well done to all the players and our stand in team manager who did a great job through out the match.
We will now now move onto the next round.

π Today our boys and girls PSSA Knockout Basketball teams travelled to Samuel Terry PS for their knockout games!
Both teams played with great spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day π
The boys picked up the win and move on to the next round ππ while the girls went down in a narrow loss after an incredible effort. Amazingly, only one of the girls regularly plays basketball, making their performance even more impressive! πͺ
A huge thank you to all the parents who transported players and supported the teams throughout the day ππ
