Faith Moments | The Greatest Book of All Time

As we celebrate Book Week, we’re reminded of the many wonderful books that inspire us, expand our imaginations and take us on incredible journeys.

But among all the books we read, that enrich our lives, we are reminded of the ultimate book, the Bible.

The Bible is more than a book; it is God’s living Word and our ultimate source of truth, wisdom and guidance. What a privilege it is to have access to Scripture and to be able to open God’s Word each day, seeking His direction for our lives.

Just as a lamp lights our way when the path ahead is unclear, God’s Word guides our steps, shapes our choices and helps us navigate life with purpose.

This Book Week, as we celebrate the gift of reading, may we be reminded of the privilege we have to read God’s Word and receive His wisdom, direction and guidance for our lives daily.

Year 9.1 HASS Students Explore Humanities Pathways

As part of the Catalyst Program, our Year 9.1 HASS students attended a Humanities Outreach Program at Curtin University to explore the range of Humanities courses and future study and career pathways available to them.

Students participated in a variety of engaging workshops and activities, including using VR headsets to “defuse a virtual bomb” and exploring how Humanities skills can be applied in real-world contexts. They also enjoyed a guided tour of the Curtin campus, giving them an opportunity to experience university life firsthand.

It was a valuable and engaging experience that encouraged students to think about their future pathways and the possibilities available to them beyond secondary school.

Drones Take Flight at The King’s College.

Our Primary students had an exciting opportunity to discover the world of drone technology during a fantastic incursion.

They watched a drone take flight and learned about the many ways drones are being used right now, from shark spotting, photography and surveying to emergency services and other industries.

The students also looked ahead and explored how drones might be used in the future, sparking some fantastic conversations and some very thoughtful https://questions.pulse.ly/pkfzpieabl was wonderful to see our students being curious, making connections and thinking creatively about how technology could shape the world around them.

Thank you to the team at, DIWA UAV, for an informative and engaging demonstration - we may have some future drone engineers, pilots and innovators in the making!

Christian Service Learning at The King's College

Over the course of a few days this term, our Year 7 and Year 8 students participate in Service Learning at The King’s College. This program provides students with an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to those around them by serving their community.

Students participated in a range of service activities, including cooking on campus to support people experiencing homelessness, working alongside maintenance staff to beautify the school grounds, and assisting in the Primary School and ELC.

A particularly meaningful moment came while students were boxing up meals for people experiencing homelessness. Without being prompted, students spontaneously wrote messages of hope on the lids of the meal boxes to encourage those who would receive them. This thoughtful gesture demonstrated the genuine compassion and empathy that underpin the Service Learning experience.

Through these practical acts of service, students developed a deeper understanding of what it means to serve others, while demonstrating that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
