📚✨ Book Week 2026! ✨📚

A week full of stories, imagination, creativity and lots of little bookworms! 🐛📖 From favourite stories to fun activities inspired by books, we celebrated the joy of reading and discovering new adventures together.

✏️📚 P is for Pencil!

For Book Week, we explored the letter P with something we use in so many ways - pencils! ✏️ We talked about how pencils help us draw, write, create and bring our ideas to life.

We then continued our creativity through sensory play by making colourful “sprinkles”! 🌈 Just like pencils help us add colour and creativity to our work, our sprinkles brought colour, texture and fun to our sensory play. A fun way to connect our Book Week learning with hands-on exploration!

We’re making the most of the sunny weather with a lovely little picnic, enjoying fresh fruits, relaxing outdoors and reading some of our favourite books together! 🧺🍎📚

🔢✨ Counting, pinching & learning! ✨🌾

We’re strengthening our numeracy skills by counting beans and grains to represent numbers from 10-30! 🫘🔢

To make the challenge even more exciting, the children used pegs to pick up and transfer each bean onto their plate. This builds number recognition, one-to-one counting and strengthens little finger muscles! 💪🧠

🍊 O is for Orange! 🍊

We talked about one of our favourite fruits to enjoy during winter! We learnt how oranges are rich in Vitamin C, which helps support our immune system and keeps our bodies healthy during the colder months. 🧡✨

🔤✨ Match it, peg it, learn it! 💪🧠

Our little learners are practising letter recognition and matching while strengthening their finger muscles with the Alphabet Peg Matching Game!

Each peg helps build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration and early literacy skills! 💛

🌦️ This month, we’re exploring different types of weather!

We kicked off our weather adventure with a Rain Cloud in a Jar experiment. Using a fluffy shaving cream “cloud” and coloured water, the children discovered how clouds fill with water until they become too heavy and release rain. 🌧️

A fun, hands-on way to spark curiosity, scientific thinking and conversations about how rain is made!
