The 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 WEIPA RODEO is just around the corner, and with two kids riding this year, and Dave helping out behind the chutes, we're all for getting behind this great event.

We love being able to use what we do at FH Laser Works to support events that bring our community together — and we’re looking forward to a huge night of rodeo action!

Many of you will know 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 "𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐲" 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐟𝐞.

Whether from the racetrack, around Weipa, or simply through the countless lives he's touched, you'll know he's the kind of bloke who leaves a lasting impression.

Danny was one of the 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 Weipa Dirt Karts, a club that has been a huge part of our family, and is the home track to Hancock Racing Team. Danny's passion for racing, willingness to help others, and infectious personality helped create a culture of mateship that continues to this day. Even after leaving Weipa, the friendships he built and the community spirit he inspired have never been forgotten.

Today, Danny is facing the toughest race of his life after being diagnosed with 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫.

So we're producing a limited run of hats featuring 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐲'𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝟒𝟖, along with his well-known saying:

"𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐧'𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠."

A very special project—recreating a traditional Dhari as a personalised gift for a family member.

It was a privilege to help create a piece that honours and celebrates the intricate handmade design and rich cultural heritage.
