The Weetangera School P & C is a fantastic way to be involved with the school.

Pick-a-jar assembly is underway in family homes across Weetangera, and we need YOU to help us make 1,000 jars to sell on fete day! Simply:
1. Get empty (and clean!) jars
2. Fill them with trinkets that kids will love
3. Wrap them - newspaper, wrapping paper, excess artworks, anything works!
4. Drop them in the collection box in your child’s classroom or the front office any time between now and fete weekend.

Our Father’s Day stall is coming up on Friday 4 September, or Tuesday 1 September for our Blue Tongue preschoolers.

Send your child with $1-$5 to purchase a gift for the dad, stepdad, grandad or special paternal figure in your life. Students will attend the stall during school hours.

We could also use a couple of helpers from 10am on the 4th, please message or email [email protected] if you can give us a hand.

Online orders are open now through Flexischool until 12:00pm TUESDAY, 25 August

Need to order with cash? Notes and cash order forms went home last week. Please return your completed form with EXACT cash by THIS FRIDAY, 21 August.

What a great night trivia was on Friday, with a tie breaker required between the teachers and our winners. It was a bit hard to hear the team name - sounded like “Paul’s something somethings”?
Massive thanks to our trivia compere without compare, Deputy Principal Mel Bezear who once again kept a rowdy crowd in order and (mostly) concentrating.
And a big thanks to Ben for all of his event organising and prize chasing to make sure we had a fun night! We’re still doing some final counting but looks like we have raised $2,000 for the school on the night.

Our Platinum sponsors for trivia and fete again in 2026 are Jack Doyle and the team at Blackshaw Belconnen, who are bringing the chocolate trailer to our fete on 15 November and a table hoping to avoid the wooden spoon to our trivia TOMORROW NIGHT!

Today on Australian Primary Principals Day, I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Weetangera community and our incredible P&C for the warm welcome you’ve shown me since I joined the school. Your kindness, support and genuine care have made me feel right at home.

Being a principal is a privilege, but it’s the people who make the role so rewarding. I’m grateful to be part of such a vibrant and connected community, and I look forward to continuing our work together to help every child thrive.

Thank you for making Weetangera such a special place.
